Uniquely Vagabond House, the pewter stem of our Burgundy wine glass is cast and hand-finished as a mighty oak tree holding the glass wine bowl securely in its magnificent branches. The base of the stem is cast as rounded garland of oak leaves and tiny acorns.
Vagabond House's Burgundy (Pinot Noir) glasses are shorter and broader than Bordeaux glasses. Made with the Pinot Noir grape, burgundies and pinot noirs are considered to be the more delicate of red wines; the bigger bowl on this stemware allows the complex aromas to accumulate for the pleasure of the oenophile. Additionally, as a functional and exclusively Vagabond House feature, the bowls on our white wine glasses are replaceable, allowing our beautiful artisan stem ware to serve in your home for a life time.
Pewter is easy to care for and never needs polished. For pieces that contact foods, clean them in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. If you feel they need an occasional polish to maintain that ?show room finish? use a quality polish. When it comes to polishing, practice on the back or bottom of a piece to perfect your technique and see if you like the results.
